Just a friendly warning for all you fellas to not drive an R32 GT-R unless you want to doubt your Datsun

That's what happened to me; nobody warned me

give it some time and i think i'll get over it--except for the horsepower that is

My friend's car is "only" 500 hp right now, but he's going to shoot for 800 or thereabouts with a new "top secret" style engine

You could always put an RB26DETT in your Datto

Whoops - wasn't supposed to say that...

THanks for the heads up, I was considering buying an R32 GTS-T for some more macho on the road. I could just stop being a lazy bum and rebuild my sedan motor already, that would give me the same satisfaction

if you really have an affinity for the old datsuns, the 'macho' (not that they have any anyway)of the r32(gtst) will get real old, real fast.
youll get alot more satisfaction out of the sedan.

Funny you should say that!! Ive been in a worked over R34 The only reason I would consider selling my ca18det 1200 would be to purchase a warmed over R32 GTR.
Ive always loved em but could never really afford one the prices have come down quite a lot now can get a nice example for mid to high 20k Aus. The only problem then would be to modify one would cost an arm and leg.
Cheers Andrew

I used to own a R32 GTSt. They do handle well but I found the reliability a little questionable and they weren't very comfortable for long trips etc...

Were fun on the race track, but it seems I used to break something every race meet.

$$ racing, rather than budget Datto style.

the engine in my r32 gtst didnt skip a beat, but they dont have the character of an old car, and just become like driving a boring old commodore

the rb20 is stronger than the rb25 dew to rb25 cracking ring lands its just a bit lagy with a big turbs but with a hks 2530 you get 225 rwkw and boost starts at around 2500 to 3000 rpm thats stoll not bad
