you could go with a a15 and turbo. its easyish to install, and plenty of power to be had from the a series.

the 1k doesent seem to be too popular with other motors for licensing reasons and that the engine basy is a little low.

There are heaps of people on this site doing conversions into 1k,so keep you eyes out for threads about em.

also, do a seach with the seach bar to the left, there is heaps of info in the database.

good luck

The answer to that is

How long is a piece of string??

how much do you want to spend?
Where are you located? since that has a bearing on what you can cant get.

When my 15et is running, ill let you know what a reasonable 15 can achieve.

If you've got the coin get an ae101 4agze, put a blacktop 20V head and TBs on with a metal headgasket, and a nice GT30. You'll need a supra gearbox to go with it. 250+rwkw is not out of the question for such a setup

Highly unlikely. An extremely worked, welded & modified A-series head is only good for 225 hp, at least that's the highest figure I recall being reported.

You're better off with a turboed 1.6 liter in a 1000 than a 2 liter turbo in a 1600. The 1600 weighs more than 25% more than the 1000, so the little guy will have the power/weight advantage. Plus you have this community ...
