I got these struts the other day for free. The guy said they're 160J struts. Can anyone confirm?

Here's what's marked on them:
Right strut
54302W5000
8X06
ATSUGI
JAPAN

Left strut
54303W5000
8X06
ATSUGI
JAPAN

Yeah they need a bit of cleaning up but hey, I got them for free. lol

Look kinda like 120Y struts the calipers are hard to make out.

If they're 120Y struts... the brakes are crappy.

Maybe I'm biased, I think the stock brakes are scary if you drive faster than 35mph.

The closest # I could find ends with w5825
which shows to fit a late model 510(A10)
around 79 to 82?, But I think they were called stanza outside of the states. This might not help a whole lot but thought I'd throw 2 cents worth in.

W50 is "Applied model" code for A10 (Stanza), I believe. The same suspension is used on B310 (Sunny).

See club wiki. There are many part numbers for the same car, they can even change over time.

Stanza struts are the same as B310 struts? I thought the Stanza ones carried a stiffer shock and spring. Oh well, I was going to put them on my B310 but if they're the same I may as well put them on my B210 which has all around drum brakes.

when putting the struts on that 120Y/B210 remember to remove thr Residual Line Pressure valve out of he line that goes to the front wheels in the master cylinder

the stanza is known as a 160J in sme countries too ast the stanza was old as a Violet

Sorry to confuse. No the struts are different. Even among B310s there are different strut part numbers.

But the B310 Japan A14/A15 models share the same suspension with the 1978-1983 A10 (Stanza/Violet/510/1600) suspension design. Most of the part numbers are W50, but not the struts.

Part Numbers
A14/A15 JDM/USA B310s used a H85, H90 or H92 strut, among others
A10 JDM/USA used a -W76xxx strut
