Look at this thread:

I've also found out some added information. The location of the cam drive on the E crank might allow for a custom A series spec lower sprocket (thicker). Also the longer crankshaft length would require a custom flywheel.
Remember the rod journals are 40mm not 45mm as on the A series. The rod length will need to be considerably shorter than in the E series as well, because of the shorter A series deck height. Crower makes Honda 1237cc rods that use 40mm journals. These might work if the big end width is wide enough, but that I haven't checked. They will also need custom pistons as well. Some have suggested big bore motorcycle rods as well. I haven't researched that at all.

It looks like the E16 crank could fit but the custom peices (Pistons, rods, flywheel, cam sprocket) make it far from bolt in.

I think before attempting to put an E-series crank in an A-series I would look for some connecting rods with a smaller big end dia.,E-series are smaller but they're longer,and have the A=series crank offset ground for a little more stroke.It might even be posible and cheaper to have the crank welded then re-ground for more stroke.

If the E series has a 40mm big end vs A series 45mm, sounds to me like a simpler mod would be to off-set grind the crank pins to 40mm and gain up to 10mm extra stroke in the process?

Maybe you could then use E series con-rods (if not too long) and pistons on the off-set ground A series crank?

Hello.This is my first writing in hier forum.
I send over 2 weeks a go one mail and picture to you Datsmoke.
I have 2 e16 cranks,what is fitted to a-engine.Thous cranks was meid over 10 years ago to turboengine.That modifigeisen was very expensive,but that crank is very strong in turbouseing.The best time in 1/4mile was 11.78/181km:h.
ps.Mazda e5(1.5l and bore 77mm) and b6(1.6 and bore 78mm) pistons and connecting rods is good and easy fit,whit that crank.I gone use opel 1.6 ecoteck pistons(79mm) and mazda connecting rods to my non-turbo engine.
sorry if i write someting wrong.

Thank you 120ZZZ. What is the advantage of using E16 crank instead of A15 crank?

That`s right nick_m and E16 is 8weight crank,but A15 is only 4weight crank.I dont no what is real name on that weight.Edged?
But any way,that E16 crank is wery strong.You can get redline very easy 10 000rpm and take almoust 300kw on it.

ps. 78x88=1682cm3
79x88=1725cm3 nonturbo
