No nothing wrong with tastefull mods, mine is heavily modded, but as i said earlier, there are a couple of lines of thought here, and as these things in an un molested state are as rare as rocking horse manure,if it's as good as it appears in the piccys it would be worth more to restore than fiddle with and worth what has been suggested.

Datto1000wags, Is that why you offer fibre glass guards?

I've just been there before:
1. Bloke advertises car says no rust.
2. Speak to said bloke about car, who says one small patch about a 50 cent piece
3. go to visit car, and it is full of rust/bog and mis-matched panels.
All pretty funny. Happened heaps of times when I am 1600 shopping

ahh the archilles tendon in 1000's rust wise the guards are pretty much the only panel that suffers sevre rust other then that they have little or no rust elsewhere
i picked up a 4 door sedan that had been sitting on the ground with no wheels for over 10+ years and the rust in the car was no worse then what most of the 1200's i have seen that are daily drivers the only reason i had cut it up was cause the dickheads that owned it smashed every panel if the panels where all good then the car would have turned out to be a terrific project!

I think it pretty genuine. I mean the dude didn't even know it was a 1000 and thought it was a 1200. But i don't know, living near the coast for a long time i would be wanting to check it out thoroughly before paying 4k for it. I guess we will just have to wait and see what it goes for. I mean if it goes for less than 2k who cares if there is a few more small bits of hidden rust.

The best thing about this car is the fact it has an 8 track installed. LOVE IT!!! GRANNY SPECIAL!!!

I bought my kb10 for $1500 and was happy to pay that. Mine was not as granny as that
but still good (with rusty front guards )no eight track or hubcaps. I'd be suprised if
that car goes for much over 2k maybe 2.5k
How much would you pay for a restored
gem?? Mopars roadcar? matching numbers?

This looks like a very tidy kb10
As for price. My red kb10 cost me $6,000 to retore about 18 years ago when parts where more available.
If i was to sell mine i would want at least $8,000 .
Cheers Mark

i don't think anyone will be paying $4000 for it though

I think the price of little early jap cars will be rising. An early holden or falcon from 60's or even early 70's u cant get in any reasonable condition for under 3'000$, with rising fuel prices more people will be coming round to restoring the early jap cars for a toy and good tidy ones like that should fetch 3000$ because u r saving a packet in less work going into restoring it. If that one is as good as they say it is I wouldnt sell it for less than 3G.
