its stainless, cost a metric #OOPS#load in bits alone. i think i'm using the wrong gas for stainless, it would look better if i wire wheeled the welds afterwards. gotta get it all done first!

Absolutely inspiring build!!!
Didnt know you could weld, I thought Simon was going them?
Also what tire you using I missed that one?

Would be awesome to get a jig for these pipes and sell
them in mild if enough interest. These are the best
design Ive ever seen for the 1k.

thanks D! the first round i tacked them all in place so simon could tig them, since then i decided i just wanted them done so migged them up myself. I can weld but only have a mig. i'm still playing around with tyres, but i think i'm going 165 65 13.

You really want to make anything custom like this on the car, and for the time it took me plus the cost of materials (over $350!) it wouldn't be worth it me trying to make any money out of them!

you coming to the peninsula cruise in your vb10?...

so far yes! However looks like Ill have to meet you either in the morning
or in the afternoon as I have a few jobs to do.

I thought maybe some pipe company could just copy your design?
I would never imagine doing these for customers the cost would be
at least the cost of a night with 15 fat-a-grams for your bucks night :)
