search through the threads alittle and you will find that its nearly impossible to get that combo registered in AUS. (assuming you are in AUS) I dont know of anyone on this forum who has one legally registered.

I believe Dattoman_1000 had a project like this running, but it was a mega long term project as the hurdles to overcome are huge.

If its a unlicensed drag or track car, then go for it. I am under the impression that it is not a popular choice compared to A/E series upgrades due to size and weight issues.

I dont think that anyone makes any prefab parts for this conversion, so it will be custom all the way.
For starters:
the engine bay is too small both in height and length. Bonnets and firewalls need mods.
To house any gearbox of any substance, you will need to change the trans tunnel.
None of the existing brakes, or rear diff setup would be suitable, so that would need to be changed.

It will be an enginering challange for sure. Good Luck!

depending which state you are in.
Now its virtually impossible in most states xcept qld.
Everything has been done but thats when rules where easy.
A friend has a 72 triumph sedan thats now a lotus 7 replica
done in 1974 no engineering plate needed as long as the reg
is still valid.

I,m halfway through putting a normal CA18 into a 2 door sedan and ive had to fabricate engine muonts, tunnel, etc. Im from NSW, i wanted to put a 12A in it but regulations didnt allow, the biggest thing i could put in it that the engineer would let me was a normal asp.CA18. But i think utes are a bit different to sedans.
Good luck.
