will this Fusible link suit ?

Hi Guys

Searched ever where for the 1200 main fusible link,could not not even nissan dealer has got it, found this as a similer option it has got 10 Amp Fuse inside it,will i be able to put 20 AMP fuse into this , i think datsun1200 needs max of 20 AMP stuff ,those are Head Light Bulbs

should be fine mate... you could always put a 12vdc 20A circuit breaker in.. pretty sure jcar sell em...

That won't work. It is only a fuse, and the 1200 uses up to 30 amps, so it will probably blow.

Go to the auto wreckers, and get a real fusible link from any car there. Datsun 1200 uses the smallest fusible link. I used one from a Ford.

Do not confuse "fusible link" with "fuse".

Hi DD

Nope mine don't have it, i will be able to put any barrel type fuse into this,will that wire be enough to hold 30 AMP,it had 10 AMP fuse inside it ,i don't know whether i have misunderstood those words,what is in my mind is the small barrel inside it called fuse the cover of it with wires called fusible link ?

correct me if i am wrong

You misunderstand. A fusible link is not a fuse.

The properties are very different. Japan-built B210s come with a fusible link to protect the un-fused portion of the wiring harness.

Ok, thanks, if i go and ask for a 30 AMP fusible link from spare parts dealer ,how do i install it to mine ?
Do you have any idea how much is it cost ?

You simply splice it into the main battery wire, at the battery. Ask for a "Type C fusible link".

See the photo previously posted.

They cost $8 USD from Nissan.
part number 25442-H2500 for B110.
part number 25442-H2500 for B210.

Your B210 probably already has one. They just look like a piece of wire.
