How much room do you guys have between drivers side cam cover and firewall

What inlet manafold brace brakets do you use

If you have used a ca radiator what part number top and bottom hoses you used

any info would be greatly appreciated

The braces are mostly for crash compliance. I have never heard of a manifold failing after the brackets are removed.
My cam covers are 40mm I reckon from the firewall.
I don't use a ca radiator but you could cut down the s13 hoses I think.
use n13 and a corolla top hose, and crossover pipe foe bottom one...not the best.

I know the maddat one is very close (essential for large intercooler). I'm using my own design.

On my daily driver 1200 with a CA18, I lasted 10 years (1995-2005) with just the Y brace that connects to the engine mount.
Never had a problem.

On my project 1200, I'm not using either. I drove to Melbourne from Sydney and back in 2007, but not much else.

Remember there are the steel supports near the injectors.

Mine is about 20mm off the firewall. I dont use an S13 radiator but a R32 GTR item, a lot thicker and slightly taller. Hoses themselves i have no idea... But id imagine that they would both be similar to S13 ones as the outlets/inlets for radiator and engine are the same. Neg. on the braces as well

having the engine closer to the firewall is also more ideal for handling

same as bailz, no braces on mine and 10-15mm clearance from the back of the head to the firewall. makes getting the engine in and out fun

better off using an SR radiator than a CA one, and then using an EXA CA thermostat housing so that you arent running the radiator hose and cooler piping in the same spot
