any info on a sr20de conversion for 1200?

hey guys just wanted to know if there are any info step by step on installing a sr20? i know its been done before but is there a page that i can read up on clearing firewall, fuel set up, mounting points, etc cheers guys

i did my own. tunnel needs to be cut bigtime but the xmember only needed the engine mounts cut, lowerd and i used ford cortina engine mounts. the stock s13 gearstick sits about where the handbrake is and the clutch master has to be moved/modded as the injection manifold is there. u can use a stock s13 radiator which is easily mounted

well if u use an a series u would go through gearboxes. i recon L series is the way to go. fits in, weighs less than the sr and u can use a auto 120y tailshaft. lookup whitesedan he has done the L series

get a maddat crossmember, trans tunnel and brake booster with extended clutch resivior.... it will make things heaps easier, bit more expensive but makes the clearance issues easier, and definitly relocate the battery.

the L series is definitely the easier way to go and if i get another datto ill definitely be doing the L series over the SR but no regrets on the SR it has been a great learning experience so far... still got heaps to go

any car with an L series in it, most of the mid to large sized datsuns from the early 70s to mid 80s
