That link is to an E-series distributor, not an A-series distributor. Most E-series used the same guts as some Vanette distributors.

There is wiring information in the Vanette Distributor article

that is the info for converting an e series distributor to a a series engine, you will see there that you use parts from the a series dist to convert it to the electronic e series, i've built one and works like a charm. i used a golf 1 bosh coil, the red one works very well. you must use a electronic coil e.g. the vw's. remember when using that coil, that you must remove the resistor on the current points coil

mine fits, i recon it must have been converted already. Why the vw coil isnt a normal electronic coil the same?

Also can you convert the std dizzy with a vw dizzy's internals, Got a vw's dizzy and thought of converting my std a14 dizzy, Is it posable? How?

i've seen that they use the vw internals on most mr turbo efi systems, so it will work. the golf coil gives a very good spark. to give you an ide, i was able to rev my gx with a14 setup up to 9200 rpm's with no problem, so i don't see the need into converting into the golf setup, as the e series works like a charm and takes about an hour to build and setup.

i know a few oks with ute's(my brother), coupe's(a buddy) and 4 doors(son inlaw) that might be interisted. Mr. turbo is far so not easy to get to in the week.
