EOI - Suzuki all alloy rwd Cosworth like engine setup g13b successor

I was aiming for this engine in my vb10 but now supercharged A10 due to old age softening up.
The reason I like this M16A engine is because its like the g13b gti motor its replaces on the GTI but made for rwd so all plumbinb is there for the front, Has Cosworth like head design and valve mechanism no hydraulic tappets and no vtec or vvt (all other models of this capacity or larger have it except for 2004-5 Liana) It is in like an early 4age-copy but alloy, modern piston and crank coatings with higher better port angles more like modern SR20 and bike engines. From Liana with very low kms twin cam 16V and has RWD boxes that fit directly from the Suzuki Jimny M13a series. The specs are: 78mm x 83mm 1586cc (can be taken to 1996cc with 87.5mm sleeves) 123 bhp @ 6800 rpm (more with better inlet manifold and throttle body) 109 ft.lb @ 4800 rpm I also have a spare 43,000klm head from the same model with no vvt to play with the porting and manifold construction. I have 2 sets of flanges for both the inlet and exhaust manifolds. The flanges are 12-14mm mild steel and alloy. The original inlet manifold is attrocious and the first thing to look at making more power, flange can be used with a 4age inlet cut and shut or other inlet manifolds of similar engines (eg. mitsu and hyundai) my plan was to go full LPG turbo to rid any pollution gear and due to capacity limits for a 650kg car. The engine was from an Auto Liana wagon with very low klms and so was the head so all parts are there from top to bottom, you just need to use the flanges I supply to do the manifolding and find a Jimny rwd M series gearbox (no transfer case like normal box) and a flywheel, clutch & starter from the same model. Also Megajolt jnr ignition kit about 200usd and fully re-programmable. Also has the front water inlet/oulet setup, sourced from a Rwd setup. Looking at $600aud plus freight or pickup. heres a site in taiwan that builds them up for more capacity but 123hp from 1.6 can be improved with better manifolds. Some Swift owners are making 140+hp with tweaks in heavy 1100kg cars with power steering, air cond units. So in a simple datsun setup no power steering and air con should present an improvement in hp. http://www.topspindesign.com/consumer ... swift_1.9L/engine_kit.htm or 1880+cc kit by Monster Tajimas company http://www.monster-sport.com/e/parts/eng_parts/m19kit/index.html Edit: Engine sump has bulge at the front and the oil pump is in the front casing behind the front crank pulley so out of the way of everything. The engine height is 1cm taller than an A15, same length and similar width. Its very narrow in design and smoothly shaped. Heres a pic of the Monster Rallye version 216+hp Attach file: suzuki_super_swift_1600_engine_216hp.jpg (197.52 KB)![]()

It's posts like this that make me wish I hadn't bought a mint original car that I don't want to get too outrageous with!
Maybe a second car is required to be able to play with this type of stuff? ![]()

Well considering I have just been knocked off my bike for the third time in 5 years, the minister of war and finance might have something to say about selling the bike (if they don't write it off anyway!).
Maybe I can bargain my way into a 2nd datto instead?? Hmm, guilty blackmail! Anyway, very nice work on the research and will make someone an interesting donk D! Love Monster Tajima's work, been a huge fan from the Pike's Peak days and watching him in person at Rally NZ.

Ive had 2 sorta serious accidents on my bikes and lost my license trying
to hit the factory speed ratings at 1.30 am in the morning on an empty freeway. That put me back in the 4 wheels again and Ive seen my fair share of casualties on the 2 wheels so wont be going back there for a while or ever with increasing traffic and careless playstation trained boy and girl racers. The beauty of this engine is that its much lighter than the J series version. When you look at the engines finish you see how beautifully it has been created compared to the older G and J series found in early gti and 2ltr vitaras etc. The form factor is almost like the G13b but narrower yet same height which is due to better valve angles, mechanisms and improved casting techniques.

i never knew people even bought liana's- they were such an ugly car- at least something good can come from them.
suzuki engines are very underated, but mechanically, most professionals can fault them, they have a great rep in the trade, if only peoiple bought more of them.

Sorry to interupt, would the jimny box bolt up to a G13b. I have run into driveline problems like you wouldn't believe.

Suzuki cars are built like a kleenex tissue box but the engines have ingenious
motorbike-like technology so they are hard to fault. Wife drives a Carry van with the all alloy g13bb and the thing flys even though its ex manifold is just a pipe with four holes attached to the head totally useless as its slanted to 80 degrees so little clearance for proper headers. Gav, whats the problem with your box? thats why I suggested you go a mazda setup or of lately a great setup has come to the market and that is a toyota W series adapter. This will allow w series 55,56,57,58,59 boxes to sit behind the G series engines. Its called the "RingR" sounds gay and it is 400usd for this billet adapter plate. The jimny box will not bolt up unfortunately as its made for the newer M series. So whats the problem with the sierra box??????

The M series jimny m13a came out after 2001-2 models
The ones before had the G series belt driven engines. The chain is a compact design is direct from its motorcycle department. The engine pic you show is without the polypropelene cover but a flat piece of alloy can be nicely engraved D A T S U N (but better typeface) Just realised how nice it would look all polished up. Suzuki fan sources say the m16a motor is the only M series motor with the beefier rods from factory as used in the suzisport swift and ugly Liana people movers. You can view topic.
