ok so im thinking of doing a few disc brake convertions to suit standard diffs and will be R31 skyline rotors and calipers ,and im pretty sure they will in most 13 inch wheels

ok so this is what im thinking

1)rebuild calipers ,all new seals and rubber boots ,and painted any colour
2)new dba rotors ,standard (slotted optional)
3)new benbix brake pads
4)mounting brackets to mount the calipers to the standard diff
5)comes with skyline handbrake cables that could possibly be modified (shortened) to suit a 1200
6) comes with standard rubber brake hoses ,(new are optional)

if anyone has any questions let me know and ill answer them

and im still trying to sort out a price ,and i would like to let it be known that i am not doing this for money ,i just want to help out seeing as i have access to parts at trade price

pics in a minute !

Not sure the handbrake levers will clear the R31 caliper with a 13
And where are you getting all these calipers from ?
I'd like to see some pics if you have actually tried to fit this
And a rundown on how you do it... do you supply new wheel brgs to replace the orig ones or do you just cut the backing plate off and not dislodge the bearing?

i just cut my old backing plate ,but if new wheel bearings are need i can get them ,but not fit them

i have my sources and as for prices atm ,i have found a few sets of rear brakes ,ranging from 200 to a carton so im not sure about a fixed price yet ,but i was thinking that if i did a few kits i could then add the total up )if the kits are all the same) and then divide it by the amount of kits ,that way no one has to more more than someone else and its much simpler to do it that way

ill have some pics up tonight ,as photobucket needs updating and then i will have to pics on here !

and i had 13s on my coupe with a standard width skyline diff and it had the calipers on it but i still need to check that out ,but it is looking promising at the moment as the calipers and rotors dont need much spacing (only .5mm or so) and then i have just got to make a jig tonight out of my old diff ,then i can just make a heap of brackets in one go

i have 3 sets of brackets now but i might take the rear brackets of the coupe tonight and then ill have 4 so then i can start finding the calipers ! :)

any one interested yet ???

and beforew i go ahead with drilling and stuff with the brackets ,do all the hitachi datsun diffs have the same backing plate flange pattern ???

cos if they are different i can do standard sedan diffs and ute diffs but i dont have a h190 to work of

hopefully they are all the same pattern !!
