Awesome! Will the support race be on TV?
I have never watched Bathurst but might watch this one.

Great video, at 38 seconds he seems to be partly airborne and
the wheelspin power makes it slide.

What engine does that car have in it?

Not super high revving I notice.

SR20, with compulsory 36mm intake restrictor. I dont think there is TV coverage.

Get's off the line well once the wheels stop spinning, blew past quite a bit of the field.

Looks a bit twitchy too in oversteer, I imagine that's why the reactions to it are so extreme at times.

Cool though, hope he does well and represents for the Datto crew.

Thanks for the comments guys..

Yeh, we qualified 3rd out of about 50 cars in the 1200 coupe, which was a huge surprise to us, that is for sure.

the car was doing almost 250km/h going into the chase, and it was very light in the front end, so a bit scary really.

Every lap the car got light over the hump up mount straight at about 215km/h, and I had to apply a little steering lock as it wheel spins.

Ended up in the sand trap at the first corner in the last race, taken out by a commodore and a torana. But other than that, it was a very successful weekend.

regards

Jamie

Well done mate. That is a sensational effort!

What did you think of Bathurst? How many times have you raced there?
