As most of the 1000 owners on here already know datsun1000.com was originaly a personal web page created to document the progress on my first restoration.
I have made an effort to share what info I could, I feel the next step in creating a resource of accessible info on 1000's is to host a forum. I hope you enjoy using this forum and I hope any information I have provided can help out. My two main goals for my site are to make the 1000 community an even better group to be a part of. And to have a dedicated place to talk about 1000's. Here is a link datsun1000.com Ashley.

I have been to that site a couple of times, to get info about parts and also downloaded that wiring diagram which will come in handy.
If you had a section where people could contribute wiki style like what parts are common with other datsuns, or general tips I think that would be sweet. I have a fair few ideas. Cheers

Hey elemental_funk,
I am glad my page has been helpful to you. I am considering a wiki page, My little bro will have to make it as he is the computer wizzard, he says time wise it will be like making the forum again, so there is a bit of work involved. I will probably put one in eventualy. For now just post in the tips section if you know of parts that are interchangeable, and when a wiki is up I will copy what is there into the wiki. Ashley.

Good stuff Ashley & Andrew (is that your bro's name?)
The trick is to have something that people will come back for, and technical info is a very good start, along with other interesting bits of information. I just had a look at the site again and I must say it really is well laid out. Apart from a couple of spelling errors here and there I think it's brilliant. Chris

Very neat and clean looking site, + 1 on the tech info
and even the modifications like brakes eg suppliers of kits like datoman1000, diff info, gearing options (not rare 5 speeds :) or anything done over the years if it can be copied and pasted. Tech info is the stuff
