Hey Daniel can you consider blocking 1200ute8u1 from posting for a while? He has clogged up the Main page with meaningless posts more than once and that is devaluing this site and bumping legitimate posts. It appears that I'm not the only one annoyed by his inane comments - Datto's deserve more respect.

I think that you may be right. However, I think that it could not be bad to let the Kid to play around. He is one of us in his entusiasm and admiration for DATOS.

Look at one thing, even if Daniel blocks the posting to 1200ute8u1 (Which is something that never hapened until today) he can always register with another name and start posting again.

So, best thing to do is (I think) to let each one of us to follow his own rithm.

I am playing a litle of Devil's Advocate at this one.

This is just my opinion.

You are an author in a public forum, be prepared for criticism. Right or wrong, that's the way it is everywhere.

This forum is about Datsuns 1200s at the end of the day. Lets leave the politics at the door.

Maybe we need to have a 'reference' system to validate new memberships. There's enough of us to make this work.

I'd hate to see people not come here anymore because of a minority.

teratonga theres a thing called maturity and it generally strengthens itself, personality wise with age. Although he may be posting inane comments he is a child and it would be more fitting for you to re-evaluate your maturity as this is in fact an open public forum. My suggestion seeing as we all seem to be getting 'jealous' in a way of this site is for people like you to grow up and act their age, whereas it may seem ludicrous for me to suggest such a thing to you, teratonga, i hate to be the person to tell u this but maybe its time u stop spending every day on this thing, stop taking the internet so seriously and perhaps get a girlfriend. Theres more to life than the web and i also beleive people of this age should be encouraged to join this site which will keep the love for the datsuns alive for a long time to come.

I think you guys kinda over-reacted. what teretonga said does not have a nasty or inflamatory tone. Sure he could have handled it better. But he does have a point - many of those topics weren't relevant, and certainly didn't belong in the main forum (try the Off-Topic forum maybe 1200Ute).But at the end of the day it's not that big a deal. Certainly that doesn't warrant being blocked from the place. Especially not as a first course of action.

I gotta say this though -

i agree with everything you said about teratonga handling the situation better but i disagree with your comments accusing me of being too harsh words are words, actions are actions and what i just posted is just words but from your standpoint i guess there is falicy in judgement probably based upon the fact you may get along with teratonga and him being a member of this site for a longer period than 1200ute. He is a child, teratonga treated him like a baby, therefore i treated teratonga like a baby but if u think i was too harsh on teratonga, than unfortunately u have let the hypocrisy bug bite way too deeply. This debate is turning out to be as silly as the santa claus question, and i would just like to state that i respect all of you guys a great deal your all dedicted 1200 lovers as i am so dont think im putting all of u in my line of site as there wasnt a line of sight to begin with, i just felt just accusation is best treated with a just and similar defence. This is the same situation i was in when i had an argument with someone in here and daniel reprimanded both of us and i have learnt my lesson therefore TERATONGA: as daniel told me this is a simple automotive site, and if things do offend you as L18 said it may be best dealt with in a simpler more inobtrusive manner
