There is a spring steel clip.
In the photo below, its on the top of the bracket.
Its the piece that is bent up a 90degrees.
Grab hold of it with some pliers and pull it towards you.

while a flare wrench should unfasten the nut to get them apart, typically it strips the nut, try vice grips carefully.
