Why do you want to return the oil to the sump?

Just leave it to collect in the catch can and return only the fumes to the intake. Then empty the can when requried.

If you are getting so much oil in the can you need to return it to the sump I think you have bigger problems!

the oil collected in a catch can should be thick and gummy. no need to return it to oil reservoir, just empty the can when full. yes if you have too much oil there, you have another bigger problem(s).

its not a street car....

ca's are known for their oil problems, when you rev them beyond 6k for prolonged periods, ie 15min, oil draining from the head doesnt happen quick enough.
The ultimate solution is to add extra drains from the back of the head, but with 3 weeks to the next rally, its not going to happen.

So when you do this , catch cans do fill up, and need to be drained quite offen, so draining back to the sump is ok (oil is changed after each rally 500km)

attached is a pic of what the rb guys do...

lol, you didnt mention it was CA

is it turbo? would be better to t-piece the oil return from that, or put a turbo sump on it and use the connection then

adding the dipstick tube as a return line is going to be a very minimal improvement over stock i would think and it would definitely need a breather for any significant amount of oil to be able to run down it
