appears to be an early A12 pan, for front-dizzy engines. Starting bid 150,000 Yen (1871 AUD, 1372 USD)

Seller says it is a Nismo pan. It has a smaller sump side-extension than the usual, however there are pics of this type at Oil pan. Have all these racing pans been repaired many times?

Nice find. Used to be available from the NISMO catalog back in the day very early on. Datsun switched over to fabricated steel pans when these went NLA. Quite rare nowadays, beautiful, delicate. This one has seen an...interesting...life. The original side 'wings' on the pan seem to have been cut off and a plate welded over to seal things up. Perhaps it was installed in a 1000 series Datsun at some point? (tighter fit?)

almost 1500usd starting price for heat cycled porous bit of alloy wow.
Cheaper for a billet mid section to go with SR20DET finned bottom casting.

Where do we get an A-series mid-section for the SR20DET sump?

Here are the photos from several years ago in the "Oil pan" article. It has welds only near the front bosses

cheap bottom sump for sr20det in alloy

Get a billet midsection matching the A series block and connection to the above
you get a winged sump result. Winged section must sit forward to clear cross-member.
