With so many GX5 clones being created, how can you identify a real GX5?

Overview

GX5s were only made in RHD version, and all have Japan-language Chassis ID Plates. They were based on the GX trim package and the 1972 Facelift features, so be sure to validate those also.

All GX5 have a Japanese-language Identification Plate:

* 'GX 5 Speed' grille Badge
* 'GX 5 Speed' boot Badge
* Tape Stripe on sides (differs coupe to sedan)
* F5C56 transmission (non-overdrive)
* 5-speed dogleg Shifter knob (wood)
* Highback front bucket Seats with cloth inserts
* Wood Steering wheel (GX-style two-slot type)
