Thanks rogue wasnt to sure on the exhaust side of things .. as for the hose , ive aquired some silicon hose they use on large boats which runs from the petrol filler to the tank ...this is rated to carry fuel and exhaust ..might help...might not...

I hope you are going to use silicon hose for your joins on the boost side.

Looks like lots of fun.

No need for the silicon, just look at the factory turbo setups on any late model car, they all use rubber bends. if a heater hose can take temps of 100+ degrees celcius, it'll be fine with the turbo intake temps, just keep them shielded from the manifolds. it is a budget build remember!

many have gotten to this stage before you tho, its getting it running and making it stay in one piece that is the hard part!!! good luck!

 Re: Turbo setup on a12
Looks like the turbo is bolted straight up to the hole on top of the exhaust manifold (where it heats the original inlet manifold) and the carby mount section of the inlet manifold has been chopped out to make room for the turbo; Then 1-2 and 3-4 manifold sections have been swapped around to allow them to be spliced back together with rubber hose from the turbo.
A lot of thought has been invested in this set-up and even though it may seem a little crude, there is no reason why it should`nt work.

Good luck with your project

Its interesting how you cut the inlet in 2 and swaped 1,2 cyls for 3,4 vise-versa.
What did you do with the exhaust manifold? did you block the outlet flange and just weld another flange in the middle for the turbo?
