hey, thanks sooo much for the info (if it comes through) I've been on that site before.. but apparently never saw the manifolds for sale... hopefully theyv'e got em in stock, and I'll be ditching my carb sooner than I thought!!

... you guys think I can get 35+ mpg with a stock a12, with header and short exhaust, GSXR ITBs, wideband O2, and a megasquirt ECU? (I'm going for tunable economy with this one.. got four other cars with plenty of power)

You should get more mileage. Stock A12s in a Datsun 1200s got 38mpg (I got 38 highway with mine, and the EPA rated it at 38 mpg).

With feedback EFI you should be able to top that. For maximum fuel economy you should use small diameter headers and intake runners (similar to stock size).

is this manifold for an A14/A15 or an A12?

...I didn't see any other details other than the pictures.. for sale? please PM me if so.. I'm looking for a dual sidedraft manifold for an A12! thanks.

Its for an A14 or A15 or A12 with GX head or A12 with A14 or A15 head.

After studying the drawing in the competition manual, I would say that this manifold is the original Datsun competition item, part No. 14002 - H2310 & it was intended to be fitted with Mikuni Solex N40PHH-30 carburettors.
The linkage looks to be mostly original too.

Note that it does not use the top outer mounting studs that oval port manifolds usually use, but the center one instead. [See photo below, right]
This seems to be unique to the original Datsun competition units.

So to answer hillbillyhectors question, it was originally made for a 1200.
A 1200 GX competition engine that is.

I think that what you want is one of these.
so check out this place as he has the one in the photo.

If you need one for an oval port head, well he has that too.
