The code breakdown on this one is more difficult. Hmmmmm KPLB310FUG

K= Coupe
P= A15
L= Left drive
B310= the basic model
F= ? [5 speed? An A in this position, if no previous character indicating 2 door, is for Auto trans]
U= ? [edit USA model. An 'M' in this position indicates Australian model]
G= ? [edit GL trim, remember GL =Grande Luxe, the top of the range]
These newer plates are MUCH more informative than the old ones.

Note that by now, they were using the international, 17 character, alpha numeric 'VIN' instead of the shorter, factory, 'Car number' or chassis number, that was used in earlier years, although it is refered to as a chassis number on this tag.

Come on David, see if you can fill in the blanks for us, please.
