This wild coupe ran a Holden 6 cylinder before being stuffed with a 392 Hemi. I love the suicide doors.

This car was built and owned by Dave Montana of Montana racefab, the workshop was behind my old work and he used to lap it (yes with the hemi) quite regularly, one of those guys that the lack of rego really didn't bother him. Top bloke too

Ahhh, a 1st-gen Chrysler Hemi in a Datsun. You could call this car the "mouse that roared".

Turns out that Mastodon is a company that makes aluminum heads for hemis (they have a distributor in Oz too for all you with transplant ideas -- but don't get too excited. The HP limit of a modified Hemi is only 7,000 HP).
Quote:
The Hemi engine earned the nickname "Elephant" early on because of its tremendous size.

Hemi info

The 2nd-gen was the 1964 426 Hemi. The 3rd-gen is the new 2002 5.7 liter Hemi just released a few weeks ago.

Man I am going to look thorough my old photos and find the picture of my car with this car...

I offered to race him but he seemed too scared I think.

Id love halve an alloy hemi 4 cylinder. Imagine crossflow big bore short stroke huge ports and valves. everything off the shelve like special heads and pistons. Twin downdraft 52mm webers I can go on and on. Hey DD maybe it would be better to get a custom crank and block for such an engine instead of a new design for the a series head?? As I mentioned Chev have been cut in halve both ways for a scat v4 and now a gerty 4 cyl. The later easier to work on with a single head and surprisingly more hp without the heavier hp robbing balancer needed for the v4.

 Re: Jeezus !!
Are Muscle Machines like the "Zingers"? Zingers were model cars from circa 1970 and had 1/20 scale V8s in 1/43 scale bodies. In other words, "mostly engine".

Yeah, this is a real Zinger!
