If you came all the way over here the very least I could do is give you a tour

Our house used be a Railway gatehouse and was built in 1876. The residents used to have to operate the level crossing on the road next to it. The rail line used to run right along where that long building is now, past the house and accross the road. It was closed in the 1960's and the line taken up in the 70's.

My SA built ute has stainless steel gutter trims but I can't see why you couldn't just cut down sedan ones to fit. Same doors as a sedan so the dimensions must be the same.

Those were my auctions and your lights are on the way Dodgeman! I was hoarding these for fixing up another 1200 coupe and I did manage to find a car but decided to was too rough and to just concentrate on doing my ute instead. I think I have a couple more but only one side.

That intake is an exotic piece but as you say, not much good for street use. It won't be hard to adapt it to EFI but it really is a race only item. I'll never build a race A series so no need to hang onto it.

The OHC engine in the roadster is a U20 but both it and the R16 roadster engine are quite closely related to the H20. I think an R16 head might even fit on an H20 bottom end. The H20 is pretty similar to the J series engines and probably evolved from the 1950's Austin engines as the J did only without the siamised ports in the head. They kind of look like a giant A series and I would imagine are plenty tunable as they are pretty sturdy. It's very rare engine here so I'm unlikely to encounter another these days.

My workshop is on the right of the pic and cars live in the long shed behind and in the building you can just see on the left of the pic. Wish I'd made my workshop bigger when I built it really as it's only 24' square. What a lovely day...

This is my abode. I reckon this must have been about 5 years ago as my workshop was just a framework then (that's it between the cars and the long building, which incidentally is also full of cars )

I once worked at a place that had a Komatsu forklift and that did have an A10 in it which ran on LPG (although they'd converted it back to petrol). I had to replace the timing cover once after the front pulley came loose and beat the hell out of it. I used one from an E10 Cherry.

I looked into using a GC engine from a K11 Micra in a RWD and it could be done. There's the CG10DE, CG13DE and CGA3DE but the first two have a distributor of the back of the head. The CGA3DE doesnt' so no clearance problems on the firewall and from what I could see the gearbox bolt pattern was the same as a GA series engine. The C23 Serena came with a GA16DE mounted inline/RWD so there's a gearbox that would work. I wonder if the CR engine shares the same gearbox bolt pattern as the CG before it?
