I'm guessing it's an H20 which was common with forklifts. Look on the distributor side of the block, there should be a flat pad with the engine type stamped on it.

Is not an A-series engine:
* A series don't have two bolts in the center of the valve cover
* A10s don't say "Nissan"

Oh, and don't be doing wheelies in it

I once worked at a place that had a Komatsu forklift and that did have an A10 in it which ran on LPG (although they'd converted it back to petrol). I had to replace the timing cover once after the front pulley came loose and beat the hell out of it. I used one from an E10 Cherry.

It's probably an H, there were A15 forklift motors, and yes they're pretty much the same as the vehicle ones.

Oh Look, the exhaust manifold is asking for a high mount turbo! And the carby alread has a 'hat'.

Please report back next week on the performance gain. . .

there probably is a factory turbo for the H ( 2.0 liter ) as it's an industrial engine and are still made, supposedly there was a fuel injection for the A15 petrol forklift engine, but never tried to buy it.

but still, would an H20 engine go ok in a DAtto?

Interesting thoughts. As others have said, can get them turbo, can get them LPG..Hmm interesting thoughts.

Sure it would go good in a Datto. The H20 was the engine in the Datsun Junior.

H20's are pretty torquey (used in forklifts and trucks so they should be) but they dont rev, they sound like they're going to explode at 4000rpm.

Interesting rocker cover on that one, all my dad's ones have finned alloy rocker covers.
