Tacho to Go

Have just snagged a tacho to replace the clock in my ute. Iwas wondering if any one knows which wires go where?
On the back of the tacho I have 2 terminals on one side, one with a black wire the other wire yellow with a red stripe. The other terminal is by its self a couple of inches away. It
has a black wire with a white stripe wrapped around it but not connected to the terminal. Any info of apropriate destinations would make the job easier (and probably stop the car from
going up in flames).

The one wire by itself is the light. It has to be wired up the same as the light off the clock was.
I am not sure about the other 2, I know they go in parralell with the wire off the coil. I am 4000km from my car so I can't look.
I am between tachos at the moment as the last one had a short. Bcareful, if the car starts, but wont pull, it means the tacho is shorting your spark. It took me ages to work that
out. I had kicked the wheel many times b4 I thougt of it.
