Glad you're back on the board, Mareo. You're probably right about not alot people knowing the 1200 exists. Still, once someone sees a 1200 in looks and in action ,theyre hooked
and want one of their own. By the way, did I say 411 in my previous post?I meant the 311 roadster Doh!

You are right,whoever has a 1200 does not want to sell because most 1200 drivers really love their cars,and while as of now many of us are discovering that these datsuns are cool,it might be
too late because when they were available in larger numbers,they were considered insignificant,and as of right know,only real datsun enthusiast or performance lovers are looking for
them,while on the other hand the 510's and 240's are more of a collection item(besides performance) due to the fact that in their days,this models were already made "hot" and the reputation
got stamped,the Datsun 1200 being more like good wine,the older the better it looks,but also the scarciest. You are a lucky man,enjoy your 1200 and "never "sell it.(well,if you get some out
of this world offer,think it over,and I mean a fortune,otherwise,NEVER is the stamp I have.)

Thank you all for being concerned about my well being. I am doing exceptionally well and the only time I take any medications for pain is to go to sleep and that isn't every night. While I was
in the hospital, the nurses told me that everybody used a lot more of the morphine than I did and they wondered how I got by an such a small amount. I just donot like the way it makes me feel.
I am a hippy, not a junkie. LOL.

Last year, I thought about selling my 1200, then I laughed about it and then I forgot about it. I am getting older (53 on the 15th) and the only car I want people to see me in is either Mareo
Speedwagon VI or VII. They are the simplest car ever made to work on, parts are cheap, they handle like a race car, they run like a scalded dog, you can't blow one up if it has good cooling
and oil and they get excellent gas milage. What the f___ else could anyone want in an automible except maybe Air Conditioning but I am happy as a mule eating briars when it is 100 degrees. I
hate it when it gets below 85 degrees and MPH. Too many of the V8 Chevy and Ford people want to classify the 1200 as the same as a VW bug. Shit, A bug just plain will not hold together if you
run one hard amd there isn't anything you can do to a bug to make them hold together except use an IMPI motor like they do in Formula Vee's.

People think I like the 1200 because my name is Doug Dotson but that isn't even in the consideration. The car can't be beat and if it is beat, just add turbo amd kick butt on the V8 IROC
Camaros and Mustangs. I have had people horse laugh at me when I tell them that my little 1200 would kick ass on the Corvette I had until they rode in it and then they screamed to get out.
