I hate to sound simple, but you could just call JTS, and ask, or is there more to the story that you havent told us.

It's only what? 1 Billion Zim Dollars to call Australia ...about $6.85 AUD or two slices of bread. Unfortunately it is not funny. I hope conditions are improving.

At least the some 1200s are still going over there. My neighbor is from Zim, he says there are lots of 1200 & 1400 bakkies there.

I would save your dollars and ask one of the ZA boys to put you in touch with a machinist in South Africa somewhere. The JTS cranks would not be a new crank, but rather a modified machined factory forging.

Did Jeff have a web site a while ago?

I seem to recall one of the members here putting together a site for him - if so the picture that was on that site of the knife edged crank was actually my crank which I machined up.

Jeff and I have have words about using the photo.

For those that remember that I bent this crank a couple of months ago, it was bent .015" and wasn't cracked. I had it sucessfully straightened and re-machined.

The engine is back in the car and is running beautifully.

I believe Converted helped Jeff join the cyber age with this site.

how did you bend the crank Gary? Did you have to give it a grind after staightening?
