im after some 17inch wheels 4 my ute how hard is it 2 fit these? what width and offset would i need?

easy jack car up then undo the 4 nuts on each wheel remove the 12inch wheels put the 17inch wheels on and see where it rubs roll the gaurds to suit and ya done

offset 17x7 and around 38 off set

Correctly offsetted 15 x 7 & 8's. - Something whith some dish, fit the best quality tyres you can afford. - Will still look good, handle well & you can still fit decent brakes under them, ALOT less hassle to fit.

Trust me.

17 x 7s with 205's will mean cutting away the front lower section of the front guards to fit them if you want to lower the car. - Its not worth it.

i did what perthute said... and i cut away the front section of the front guard. 3

really not that hard, and yeh it is worth it! ;) i have 17's on my ute, check my thread if ya want

I've had 17 on two of the 4 utes ive had. - ruined the handling totally on both of them compared to the smaller sizes with better tyres. Wheel size got smaller as I grew up (and wiser) strangely enough...

depends on tyres dude :)

i will run 17's on the street n 15's on the track :) but maybe 17s all the time has cheaper tyres ;)

thats with a much heavier car tho like silvia or skyline isnt it? unsprung weight from heavy 17's upsets handling a lot more on a little datsun.
I think the profile is the more important size to keep down anyway at least on the front, 195 or less for these cars.
