Hy, I'm writing to ask for some advice. I have come across an opportunity to buy a sedan 1200. I like the sedan more than the hatch, perhaps because I had a lot of hatchbacks in my life, is not that one is better than the other, but I just "want" a sedan . Well, the op is here, I will see it next weekend. I was told it is rustr free, no dents, in good shape. Runs and all. I also have a B210, as you know, my B210, as much as I like it, needs rust work, the engine broke( I got excited, the engine lasted a while, but, went kaput). So being the situation, if the 1200 is as clean as mentioned, then, the 1200 would be a better option, no body work needed(except a nice paint job for looks, not necesity), engine running(vrs a broken car)and I can use my B210 parts on it. My B210 has rear koni shocks, rear decambered springs, front sway bar by ADDCO(performance). Also, and I want to confirm this with the 1200 experts, I think that my front end can go bolt on into the 1200, right? The rear springs and shocks will fit too? What about the differential. All in all, what can I salvage from the B210 if I go this route. I like my B210, but , it needs work in the body area, with the 1200 I would eliminate all that, plus the 1200 sedan, lowered is cool. I also have my 13X8 on 215/50/13 tires, from the B210, into the 1200, with fender flares, would work fine.
Need some words of wisdom, I feel bad about getting rid of my B210, but I have not yey won the lottery, and I came across a fork road, I must decide.
later.

my choice would be the sedan...

however id wait until you see it before you get excited about the chance of having a rust and dent free 1200...they are few and far between...

my expericenes when looking at buying 1200's

needs work = full of rust
pretty clean = straight but plenty of rust
imacculate = spots of rust and some dents
and the ones that actually are immaculate carry a big price tag because the owner knows it!

good luck

the B210 main leaf spring is too long for the B110. The B210 rear leaves cannot be used.

your B210 is a coupe, isn't it? If so, the rear shocks won't suit the B110 sedan either.

the B210 H150 diff will bolt in.

front end can be swapped in OK. Use the 1200 strut tops as they are lower.

Yse all the reaar leaves bar the top one. This will give an extra leaf for the 1200. The sway bar is bigger on the b210, and makes a good up grade.

This is Jaime's most recent post ...

Anyway, I just heard that the po-lease towed Jaime's B210 away and that his 610 is in storage with a guy who plans to make it his own.

Is he now Datsun-less? Or did he get the sedan? I miss his posts about the need for 8" wide 13's on the back of every datto. Hope he is back one day.
