I run 4 degrees camber so you generally need pintara arms for extra length to cope with the added camber

Cheers guys, im actually thinking if i can get a shorter steering arm than the stanza i can quicken the steering a bit. I know it will feel heavier but thats fine. So the stanza, pintara and later model 120y all have the same ball joint taper?

120y's have 2 different size balljoint tapers avaliable. 1 small taper like 1200 struts. The other big taper like stanza etc. So yes to your question.

From the Research i have done but never used them any of them ,,

KE20 Corolla, has the same 80mm distance bolt holes with a shorter arm ,

the last model sigma also has the 80mm bolt hole and shorter arm .. but the ball joint is offset close to the disc which could be a problem , you would need to run the 200b ball joint as well or mod the sigma lower control arm ..due to the Larger taper ball joint ..

also if you are use s13 silvia struts/hub it gives you shorter arm as well ..

also the early Mazda use the 80mm bolt distance ..but the steering arm seem about the same arm lenght as the Datsun ,,

any one got other ideas ..

you would have to check your bump steer after using what ever set up ..

I have just converted to stanza gear and am trying to get a grip on all these geometry changes.

Question? I am still running what i believe are standard 1200 steering arms. What implications does this have?

Thanks
Daniel

Freak, you mean you are running 1200 tie rods? Stanza strut will not bolt to a 1200 steering arm.
