Gday guys been busy lately with new jobs/family the usual stuff but i have also been saving my hard earned $$ to buy a 1974 1200 ute!
Few piccies below.

As it is atm (bought it with 14's pictured below)

Yeah dont mind the 15" TRX's on the back, found out last nite 15s and std struts dont work... so its back to 13" steelies for the moment.

By the way, what are these rims? They have Delta Australia badged on them...

Now i know why so many people have them, they are SO fun to drive, its like an oversized go kart and the A12 isnt as slow as i thought it once was!

I picked up this beauty for $3000 and it has extensive body/interior mods which is exactly what i wanted as i have motor/suspension bitties to go in it. So this is my starting platform for a whole new project which will be upgrading everyweek thanks to mr paycheck
The paint is the new Ford metallic blue (not sure what type) and is quite a nice paint job with minimal cracking around the sills & little areas. It has not been properally buffed up so when i get round to it ill post some piccies.
The interior has been completley reupholstered with new leather door trims, dash (needs a clean) carpet and seats (dont know what kind). Its got a decent stezza but will replace it with mine anyway & massive 6X9's in the doors!

Std. A12 with extractors & 2 1/4" exahust with faggy milo tin hanging off the back, dont worry its coming off this weekend!

Its been in a small accident at the front with radiator panel being squised, valance, grill and bumper so if anyone has these parts i would be forever grateful! Prefreably a sedan grill.

The idea is to fit all my Sunny running gear (engine, suspension etc.) in to the ute with a set of twin 40's i have coming from W.A. so it should be a real hoot to drive.
Ive got to clear up a few odds and ends but who doesnt! Its mainly just a matter of taking out the donk cleaning the WHOLE car (pressure wash engine bay) and making it look and go awsome.

Im really happy with the purchase as people were offereing the guy (my good mate) about $6000 but he really wanted me to have it so i got it for $3000 but he still wants to help me work on it everynow and then.

Just thought i'd show you fellas my new pride and joy

Oh yeah i got it yesterday...

Cheers
Dave

Thanks for the comments guys, and yeah its been WAY too long. Was really considering a 1000 2 door first, then a 1200 coupe but this was kinda too hard to resist. And im 6 2" and i fit, ok i guess!

Hahaha yeah tried to before but the photo i want is too high res & when i make it smaller/less quality - turns to ####.

Rite now its off to ebay to look for bargins

looks good mate!
just an idea... rechrome bits around the grill, and paint the backing black not white...

same quality non slip acclerator pedal as i got my ute with!
6x9's in the doors must be great! I'll have to warn my rellies in launceston to look out for it

Nice! It's even got power brakes.

Question: Does it have the smaller H145 differential (like the 1971-1973 models) or the bigger H150 (like the 1975-1994 models)?
