B-210 five speeds are not too difficult to find. They came in 1976 1/2 - 1978 B210 Coupes. These are the larger, heavy-duty "dogleg" 63-series transmissions. The B310s used lighter 60-series 5-speeds.

I do know where there is one at. Been meaning to ask about it too! It does have the honey bee decals. It sat in an alley for some time. then it was gone. I got to thinkin hmmm (I wonder) yup there it was in his back yard. Guess the city had him move it or something.
I will check into it.

I worked at a dealer back then, the "Honey Bee" was nothing more than a base model 2 door sedan with vynal seats, rubber floor mats, and a 4 speed trans. It didn't even come with a radio. It was available in white and yellow only as I recall and very basic transportation.
The only thing that set it apart from other 2 door sedans was the port installed stripe kit that was in a contrasting white or yellow depending upon body color and the low sales price due to lack of installed options.

Yup- This is exactly what I'm looking for. Rubber floor, decals and all. I'd love to hear stories some time about working at the dealership back in the Datsun days.

i thought nissan was moving all the design work to the east coast. Or are you picking up a clean CA one before moving?

surely you know about the JCCS2 this weekend in long beach, might be some nice cars for sale there.

Motorsports et al moved to Tennesse but I believe the design center stayed in SoCal.

Now as for the Honey Bee, I loved it when Monster Garage made a Honey Bee drift car.

that was a good episode, it was a bit annoying to see that 510 guy step into all kinds of holes that we know to expect, since he'd never seen a 210 before.

I'd have liked it if they had gotten it working properly, since the setup they had was bound to overheat.

They also tried to stuff an IRS rear end in and discovered it was too much work and then put a different live axle in.

should have been some datsun1200 guys involved ;)
