My name is Pete Savino and I just became a member and am so excited and want thank everyone for giving so much information about A series engines.
I'm 31 and drove a 1980 210 from 1990-2002 and had to retire it do to rust. I loved the car so much that I stripped it (A15) kept everything and brought 2 more, 1976 B-210 and 1980 210. I only drive the cars normal (I don't race)but I am interested in doing some mods to make it a little quicker. I'd like to convert to fuel injection and possibally get some headers.
I live in the north-east of the US and all the Datsuns rust bad, so there aren't many around (they all dissappeared in the 1990's). So it's so nice to drive a car that is somewhat rare.

Welcome.

You're in good company. We are all a little "out of balance" I think, but we enjoy it that way.

Chris.

Welcome to the club, 210-Pete.

That reminds me, for years I was the only 1200 fan where I lived ... when I found this club it was like Eureka! I'm not alone!

I used to have a 210 (Sunny B310) 2-door sedan, I liked that car. It was Nissan's return to the B110-type styling, though a little too big haha.

Yeah I always thought there weren't too many 1200 fans where i live as well. But once you own one and drive it around you find so many people stop you to talk about it

And welcome to 210-pete. hope you have fun here

Hello Pete

Wellcome to the Club.

Do you have a B310 (US 210) like my own?

These cars are geting very rare now. Even here in Portugal. Here it is more rare than the B110.

I have a lot of stories about DATOS. Even the cops, when they stop me for some reason, begin to talk about it (my dads use to have one, I used to do some burnouts, bla, bla, eh, eh). Last week I run trough a STOP at over 50 MPH (i was quite in a hurry and Portugal isn't the USA) and there they were. I think that only thing that saved me, from a fine and losing my drivers license (2 months) was the car. Since they begin to speak about it imediatelly.

Sometimes you park the car and when you return you have papers with phone numbers on the glass asking if you want to sell it.

Welcome 210-Pete. Is your car a hatchback or sedan? I've always preferred the sedan in the 210 but the hatch in the B-210. I've been a closet fan of both of those for years. Had a girfriend in college with a 210 sedan. The only problem, with the car not the girlfriend, was it was an automatic. It still scooted along pretty well though.

Thanks for the nice welcome,
Both my cars are 2-door sedans. The 1980 210 is a automatic(A-15) and the 1976 B-210(A-14)is a 4-speed. The 1976 B-210 was a hunny-bee but some one painted it orange before I got it. The car that I stripped was a 1980 210(A-15) with automatic trans.

HI Pete,
I had a 210 sedan for a couple of years when I lived in the US and it was the most reliable, zip-round-town car Ive ever had. Super easy to fix too, and great Mpg also. The best part was watching Suvs drive round the block endlessly while you just squeeze into the first park haha. The honey bee I think was only sold in the US too, its a 120Y 2 door sedan, rather than the hatch sold in Aus, and definitely a cool 70s throwback. The A14 ,for its age is a great engine and what it lacks in grunt, makes up for in fun and simplicity:)
