hay guys,
Im new here, im only 15 but i have plans of and rb26dett godzilla in a 1200 ute in the future.
I know it will be a hard task but a few of my mates reckon we can get it in there with some firewall modification etc.
I will be browsing these forums for a moderatly priced 1200 ute in the next year or so.
Hope to learn alot from these forums and have a fun time with my conversion.
Jake

Thats my point. Go with something smaller, like ca18det, then you can drive it every day and not be limited to driving it only 10seconds at a time.

if you wish to go INSANE with a engine swap , a VG30 might be a bit easier .

No thanks, im not a V6 kind of guy.
Seriously, i will put it in and then sort out the rego. I will be most probably be getting it registed as a special vehicle as i will be changing everything, i.e most/all of the mechanical side of the car.
if i do go something smaller it would be an SR20DET but it would be a daily driver and when i get to low 9's i will stop modifying it and possibly get another datsun to drag race.
the most important thing about it, ITS A DAILY DRIVER.

i tried rb20det in 1200 sedan, even with firewall cut as far as possible it wouldnt fit with standard manifolds and even then hight was major issue, spose a bonet scoop and custom manifolds could do it. Seriously big job, heres a pic
