Datman55.....................holy cow I new I did racing on the cheap and your talking AUS dollars but I do the whole year for $1500. My budget includes two Vintage weekends and 5 track days (remember as a worldly instructor type I get a discount)............man I'm cheap , I'm nearly having a stroke just thinking about it.
So as a cheap arse....................c'mon guys go spend what you can and have fun. Better to go on a minimal budget then miss a good event.

Rallytwit....... That budget includes running costs, but not repairs etc....

Our first meeting for 2007 is April, and I still don't have my new pistons or repaired the head from last years blow up! Add to that a new set of tyres, new oil cooler set-up, new front & rear spoilers.........it's going to be an expensive couple of months!

Oh I hear ya the single seater was $600 a day US................that's why I'm back to the 85HP wonder.............as we said it's whatever you can afford..............now if I can just get the 12 yr old to stop eating and wearing clothing the budget will be freed up considerably.

Tom, I think that you are going to be seriously dissapointed with each passing year untill the little one gets a job.
[hint] I hear that salt mines pay well.
