There's classic rego, I've been meaning to look into it forther so i know what I'm getting into. Bassically though it would be like 100 bucks a year but your "restricted" to only drive to a repair shop, to and from club events, or in club outings. It's usefull for all your classic race car needs I spose and if anyone asks why you out at 3am in the city just say "uh, yeah it's a club thing "

Was just talking to a friend about it. You have to have the car affiliated to a ligitament car club, I could say my the club it's in is the Twin Cities AutoSports Club as that's the rally club I'm in.

I wouldn't mind knowing about the 1200.com club here, like does it have a business number and all that stuff?

no thats different...in NSW you can have special rego which enables you to drive your car to events and to mechanics etc etc. You dont need blue slip or even rego plates. You have to sign a disclaimer to say your car is roadworthy...but if you get pulled over by the cops, and it isnt, say you have a locked diff etc etc then you will be fined.
Easiest way is buy a car trailer and tow it around...seriously....

yes we have club rego, you will have to find a club to join that can get club registration .then you will have to be nominated by one of the members of the club so you can join ........
the clup rego plates have a S at the start of the plate followed by the dot* and then numbers .
with the club rego it allows you to drive to cruises club meets ,repair shop .if you want to drive it any other time the club president must be notified and he has a log book to fill out for the rego branch ..........

nah you don't need to have the S plates, they said i can have my plates on, with club rego, you can drive 15km radius from home and test the car at any time as well. When the QPDC gets official it will get you club rego, car must be older than 30yrs.
