im 18. have 3cars. all done up. plus my ca18det 1200 ute. iv easily spent over 10g on it. and not 1cent from my parents. i work hard. i play hard... i agree theres a time and a place for everything but its been happening for years. i dont see how they are going to stop it. they just make a HUGE deal about it now in the news and papers and make people more aware of it...
my old man told me when he used to work at the mines as a young fella. they used to go and and buy brand new ford gt's and monaros and write them off in a week and get another one street racing every week... people died all the time but it was never publisised like it is now.

DONT drive like an idiot out there on the road fullstop, period, end of story.

it only takes a split second for a hero behind the wheel to kill someone either in their car, or a pedestrian, or another road user.

if anyone wants to do their best sterling moss impression do it where you dont pose a danger to anyone but yourself.

ps. it serves most people right to get their car confiscated for acting the goat, i used to love driving past the police impound yard and seeing all of the local dikhead drivers cars in there.

I do a bit of blowing the doors of dunny doors - up to the speed limit, then enjoy the loser flyby show....but I guess I'm another old fart that rekons, you play you pay.

Yeh thats all well and true about taking it to a track... But where the hell are we in WA ment to take em? Quinana? But who the hell wants to go in a straight line? Barbagellos? When do they have a open track day? AHG? Crap times and apparently expencive! Collie? Too far away for a quick bash around.

Talking to the boys at TAFE the street racing scene has died off over here. Very few places left to do it.

But if this does come into effect in AUS(doubt it ever will) what happens if your a older bloke in your pride and joy. a genuine phase 3 or something worth 500k and happen to give it a burst or lay a little rubber? The copers gonna crush that?
