i have i lil bit of experince in smash repair and i think you would need to cut the roof off and get a new/one from the wreackers and weld in place . i would say the utes worth $600

yer but in this pic it looks worse than it actully is the rest of the body is so straight and appsolutly no rust he put it up on the hoist egsacly the same no rust it was like brand new wot about straightaning the roof or just find another ute and take the roof of it and weld it on he said it wasnt registed when the tree fell on it so if i straighten it or get a newe roof that woundent tell the difference

nup..write off. don't go near it, unless you want to pay $1600 for only guards, driveline and engine. I expect interior is damaged from weather.

For re-registration..forget it.

If the rest is seriously rust free, it would be good for parts offer $1200..

How much will it really cost to get it roadworthy (parts and labour), if it's less than another car in the same condition..it's a write off...unless you are a crazy 1200 enthusiast.

just saw the other pic . its worse than i first thought . still could be fix but only worth it if you can fix it yourself . and its neva gonna be perfect . if its gonna be a chopped up burnout car wit a rb30 in it just make it a convertable ute ,

Stay clear spenc, if he's negotiable then maybe. But I wouldn't pay $1600 for it, not even $1200.

The door needs attention too and like frank said, it's the pillar that holds the roof up. Having to re-weld another roof at such a low point on the pillar is going to be hard enough....money,money,money.

Offer him your lowest and if he says bugger off then just sit back and wait, let him know your offer is always there though.

EDIT: Talk not tork

Hang on, if a tree fell on it where's the damage to the rest of the front. Unless it went across the pillar? or falling branch?

Mate I got one in St Georges Basin where the roof is creased but it no were as bad as that, I decided that it was a right of because it would cost a crapload to fix, but the most impotent part is that it WILL NEVER be the same...

EDIT: Stay clear of it mate, you would be better buying a rolling shell where its in better shape then buying another one like that with all the bits you need...
