I've finally finished uni for the year so the Supercheap spray booth is going back up tomorrow and the wagon project is going ahead full throttle. First on the agenda is dummy fitting everything, so we're after info on 'coolers and brake boosters.
First of all we have a 'cooler with a 600x240x60 core. Kirstie wants it hidden behind the grill, which should be capable with the one we've got. The problem is the outlets are in #### positions. Who here is running a similar setup? What size is the core? Where are the outlets positioned? Pics would be great.
Secondly, we need a dual circuit brake booster. VH44 remote boosters are great but we would need to run two (pain in the ass). What dual circuit boosters do you guys use? Either remote or firewall mounted. In case of second option obviously needs to clear the CA.
Thanks for the help in advance boys and girls.

450x300 just fits. 600 without right angle bends won't fit. unless you aren't running a battery, or airbox.
The intercooler in mine just fits with 450 wide, and some desperate right angles.

Yeah I know what you mean about the 600. The outlet on the drivers side is fine but on the passenger it points straight out. Would probably work if you didn't need a headlight.
I've seen a few 520x240x60 'coolers. With the right bends this may be OK. Or should I just look for a 450mm?

If you were to weld right angles 2-2.5 inch outlets, then you can fit a bigger intercooler.

Yours looks deeper than 60mm. but definitely the setup we want to go with. I'd say around 450x240 should be where we wanna head.
Another question though, what radiator do you run. We have an S13 one but I was checking the 'cooler fitment without it first (obviously wanted to check outlet alignment first).

mine is also a 450x300 but by 75... (3" inlet/outlet) mine will be nicely hidden behind the grill and only seen a little below the bumper

Radiator is a custom 2 core unit, cross flow unit out of a toyota tarago. Had end tanks soldered on and inlet and outlet are on the drivers side. Works well.
Using a 180b brake booster with the small vacume canister. Had to make custom mount to bolt it up to the firewall but it just clears the CA.

I like the look of those setups, looks 100% given that we'll go 450x300.
How easy was the 180B booster to fit old school. By my measurements it was too much of a prick to fit so I just canned the idea.
BTW, don't know if any of you blokes are in the same position as me (married), but this wags is a blessing in two ways. Since this will be Kirstie's car, either when we go out on weekends she'll let me drink 'coz she'll wanna drive it, or she'll drink and I'll get to drive. I can imagine the age old argument of who gets to drink will probably be reversed.
