It looks like a 1968 DeLuxe 2 door sedan. [not a Coupe]

The blinkers are 1968/69, the grille is '68. The over-riders, radio aerial & DeLuxe emblems on the front guards say it's a DeLuxe, so it's all original looking. & rear shot would confirm that it's a '68, or a '69 with a '68 grille fitted.
The red is an original colour too.

yes gentlemen, a very original 1968 2 door delux, maybe late 68 with the side blinkers. high back frnt seats are from 120y or 180b from memory. professional odometre conversion from miles, currently reads 86,725. it was her pride and joy and she (my 84 year old mother) did look after it. (receipts to prove it)
ian carrier smash (a good mate) looked after the bodywork (old school beater down in brookvale now retired) for over thirty years.
straight forward repair. sub frame aok. drives aok. after pulling bodywork out. just passed mechanical inspection for reg. chromework may be a problem.
comin' guys, tell me somethin' i don't already know .....
anyone give me a ball park?
cheers

I'll bite the bullit first and say around$700.00 as is,if the rest is as good as you say.
It has been my experiance with many many of these thous with front/side wacks, there is always damage to the inner guards and rails where they join the firewall down low.If you don't get it all out it can be a real bitch to re fit everything else.
I look forward to the opinions of the many 1K experts we have.
Cheers

If you had the donor parts then $700 is a really good price. Perhaps up to $900.

I agree wiht you Bert on the chassis rail damage. It doesent take much to bend them out of shape. I found that out with daisy. Only a small whack can cause all the geometry to go out. These are small cars after all.

If the car is licensed, and as perfect as you say, then yeah anywhere between $500 at the cheap ass end, up to $900 if your wallet is fat.

I would probally offer $600 and expect to be bargained up to a max of $750, but thats me, assuming that the rails are straight. If they are bent, well il halve my offer. If you know how to straighten that out, then fine, but its an expensve route to go down if you have to pay someone else.

well done guys, thank you. given it was just an eyeball and not a physical inspection. probably not worth my while nipping down to sydney to fix 'er up then. with the hassle of finding/ ordering parts etc come to think of it at 600 big ones it is probably better gathering dust! there again do i really want to inherit a small jap 4 ?
ebay it is then, a santa dattee with a 500 reserve, take me away ha ha hee hee to the dattee farm, where life is "gay" all of the time :)
cheers and thanx once again

The blinkers were used by both the 1968 & 1969 models. They were supposed to have been introduced with the 1968 model in October 1967, but they must have had a lot of earlier guards & lights left over as the first few weeks of 1968 model production used these 1967 model parts but with the '68 grille & headlight surrounds.

Your car is the definitive 1968 version.

As a bit of a guide, I paid $1,200 for my 1968 standard four door sedan, with about 6 or 8 months registration & limited warranty from a used car lot in 1980. [yes, I still have it]
