I went out today to explore and test more, It seems that I get 16.5 MPG now, that's ok, I think i know what i did, so i think i'll get better. So it seems that I get about 115 miles on a tank of 7 gallons. If I had used petrol i'd expect about 25 MPG which is about how the conversion works out.
I'm doing a google earth propane map now of all the places I know i can get gas. I drove all the way to Mojave in hard rain to scope out fuel stops.
Not bad, the car handles good in the rain, it was underpowered a bit, I think I fixed that now.
(underpowered = only going 65 up hill in the rain...)
Check the thing in my signature for the google maps thing.

that would be fun, on a drive that short i won't have to stop and get fuel every 100 miles.
