Surely they would have to give the green light for being over by just 9cc's. There would have to be margin for over or under, otherwise, strictly by the book you would never be able to rebuild the engine [if needed] with oversize pistons as it would blow you way over the limit.

This is yet another good example where the states dont follow a national scheme. Why should it be legal on the east coast an not elsewhere.

Well the limit over here is 1.8L for an engine with forced induction but they do the sensible thing and round it back to 1.8L.

Quote: Did WA transport tell you it was 720kgs?

I know NSW RTA have a little book with these weights. They don't match up with anyone elses.

I was told OooOOooo it's very close but under, when I got mine registered.

Interesting point Chris. I told them that to my knowledge the weight of a 1200 sedan was 720kg. They have taken this figure to be accurate in terms of the vehicles weight. Maybe I should have said to the best of my knowledge it weighs 2 ton. :)

Well boys a Technical Section - The part of liscencing responsible for modifed cars in WA are not happy with this, because the CA engine exceeds the maximun cc for a turbo engine by 9 cc.

Like I said... They are some pretty hard nosed fu%#ers!

What does a Ute weigh? ( probably been mentioned before - sorry)

Perthute went the easy way. Get a liscenced car and drop in a CA18DET and run the risk of getting caught ???

Hope this is right Jordy
