the idea with the exhaust was to get all the really hot stuff on top that way all the cool stuff don't get BBQ'ed so badly when sitting in traffic.

the lifting of the inlet tube kinda eats into that idea a bit, but it's still better than having the exhaust go underneath, I Think....

Only the fl;anges that go on the head, the inlet plenum, and possibly the injectors. Nothing else.

Looking at the later picture, where you have the inlet plenum more ontop, I would actually change the zorst manifold so that the #1 and #4 runners are mirror images of what you have now, so they go right underneath the #2 and #3 runner/s. You might even end up with a more balanced manifold that way.

You'll remove far more radiant heat, and you'll have lots of space to add some heat shielding in there. It will be easier to work in the intake that way, and you could possibly tuck the injectors on the inside, so they don't stick out like in the picture.

Kulula... you mean like so

the injectors where they are now, I think is the best, with regards to where they are aiming at... they are not in the way of anything and that is the furthest away from all the hot things in the setup, which is good too...

@3rotor

what power did you get from your setup?
Was it reliable?
Gearbox or diff problems?

I'm at aprox 125Kw....

engine is still 100% reliable.... just over 2 years running now...

gearbox, well that's a different story all together.... with this setup, at 14psi I can guarantee you, the std gearbox WILL not last.... I stripped 2 and am now on a SUpra W58 gearbox... which won't strip, not even on a V8....

I'm still on my std diff, and it's still holding out perfectly, though I'm not the kind of guy that does not have any feelings for mechanical stuff, I'm pretty sure, if I wanted, I can snap that too....

In short, The A14\15 engines with the proper goodies in them and a compression drop, is pretty damn bulletproof.....
the gearbox is not..... a setup like this can easily more than double the engines output, which means stuff down line, will be seeing a lot more strain....

oh and don't even bother with the std clutch plate, The std pressure plate and flywheel is fine, with a button clutch....

Wish I had the money.

These damn bakkie parts are so expensive, the scrapyards are going on asif they are scarse stuff that are difficult to find.
I want to put in a 5 speed from a bakkie but they charge me something like R4500.
I can't do that and break it with a turbo setup.

I PM'ed you last time but you did'nt answer me.Think you wanna keep the info to yourself.
Where can I get another GX cylinder head as a spare? You last time said you know of a scrapyard that are littered with GX heads.
PM me please.

I did get it, And meant to reply... sorry...

it's a scrapyard in Benoni... M&M scrapyard is the name....

I also looked into the std 5spd box, and indeed they where close on R1500 more that what I where able to get the W58 box for, so the choice was kind of a no-brainer on that one...

well if you keep the boost down to no more that 9PSI, the std stuff should hold....

I do a lot of towing with mine, and for that I usually crank it up all the way, and then it's hectic on stuff...
