Hey mate,

I have been reading this post, its great that you got the car back with relatively no damage.

I hope that because the little prick is 16 he doesnt get away with it as most under 18ers do. Fuking legal system in Australia is ####... he deserves to lose a few fingers, that way every time he reaches out to do something stupid he is reminded...

Best of luck with it.

yeah mate im not too happy ill see what comes out of CCTV and see if we have his face. If we do than my lead can ID him and we can nail him.

If not then i guess there will be a different form of punishment.

Great news bud, just a bit of advise for all who treasure there rides, as mentioned they have cought this jerm on CCTV, i have my own CCTV set up around my entire yard and i live on just over a acre, this records 24/7 and you cannot get to any valuable without being recorded, my set up is around $4000 but you can get kits on ebay very cheap from around $500.00 and most of these are colour and I/R to see at night. These take about 10 min to set up for something simple. I play with this stuff a little and if any1 wants any help just let me know.

yeah mate i am so happy.

Well the update now is
1. I have his name
2. I have a witness that said he spoke to this germ just after he ditched my car and he told him that the tailshaft was snapped and the car color was white (my car)
3. I have CCTV of him and his friend driving away in my car.

I am going to go after this guy for all damages.

I will definetly be investing in some personal CCTV and an alarm and immobiliser for my vehicle.

Ill keep you all updated.

Thanks
Milan

With the cctv stuff, dont buy wireless as if you live in a normal suburb you will get a lot of intererence from stuff like people using microwaves and stuff, hard wire all of them, i found Jaycar to be the place to shop as they have all the connections and camera's all on the shelf but are a little pricey. With the alarm i think they are a waste of time and money, as I use electric fuel pump, i have a hidden tockle switch that turns on and off the pump, so yes they can start it and drive in but only till the fuel runs out, at the end of the day if they want ya car they will get it and all you can do is make it hard for them..

When it comes to him paying to fix the car, be sure to insist that the car be 'restored' to its pre-theft condition & not just repaired to running status again.

Tell the guy that he's won a free trip to datnats, and pull off to the side of the road in the middle of nowhere and do THIS to him. (WARNING GRAPHIC/DISTURBING footage)
It's what ALL car thieves deserve!!!!
