I saw a pic of a 120y front grill, its from a SSS japanese import version. Does anyone have one or know where to find one.

These grilles are found in 1974/75 120y coupe's just like mine. They are not just found in japan.
Someones just taken out the vent inserts and put in foglights and have called it a SSS grille just to make a little more cash.

to my knowledge the only difference between the SSS grille and a standard grill is the badge.
the Standard Grilles have the D whilst the SSS grilles have an "S" With a green surrounding.
there is no difference between the shape and style of the grille

I think you'll find the "S" on the grille is just for Sunny.
Just like all the other 70s B110/210 variants in Japan.

This style is certainly a desirable grille for Aussie 120Y owners.

I'm not a 120Y expert, but I thought the SSS 1200 and 120Y was a NZ specific thing?

That is correct... it was a NZ specific released model.
I was lead to believe that the "S" badging was only released on those NZ SSS models.
