hi sumith
start by tightening your steering box, loosen the nut on the top with a ring spanner and turn down tight the grub screw with a big flatblade screwdriver, hold the screwdriver tight with your hand while u tighten the locknut back up, dont let the nut turning move and overtighten the screw.

that should take some play out of your steering.

after that jack up the front end of the car, use jackstands so u can get underthere safely.

grab the wheel on either side and try wobble it holding at top and bottom of tyre, if it wobbles u can see after that where the play is. also get someone to sit in car and wobble the steering from side to side slowly, while they do that u can see underneath where the play is in the front end, that way u know what needs doing.

test your shockies by bouncing the front of the car, if it bounces more than once they need replacing.

Keep in mind you want about 10-20mm play left to right on the steering wheel, that is around factory spec. Any less and you are loading the bearings, especially if they are already shagged it's only going to increase the wear.

Surely you have a service manual, that will tell you how to check and adjust everything under the car.

And for comfort, stay away from gas shocks... only good for holding up tailgates or clubbing useless slackass mates. Go hydraulic or rebuild the original wet leg with seals from nissan.

Sumith, We here in Australia used to get Tokico "Gold" and "Silver" shocks. I put some Silvers in the back of my 1200 sedan years ago and it transformed the ride for the street. In about 1995 Tokico stopped importing to Australia, and the option was lost to us.

As you are in SriLanka, I'd totally recommend you see if they are available to you.

Sorry, I don't have the part numbers.

Regards,
Chris
