Datski, if you are changing all the panels, grill etc I would be interested in having the old one as spares....let me know what you have (or will have)

Looking forward to the next meeting (maybe October). Here is a list of things I plan to do before next season....

1. Upgrade injectors to 740cc to run E85 (& Re-tune)
2. Upgrade Brakes to R33 Calipers front & Rear, with 300mm front rotor and vented rear rotor
3. Rebuild front end (needs to be a bit tighter)
4. Add about 1 degree of neg camber to diff housing.
5. Add a watts link with adjustable roll centre adjustment
6. All new stickers for the car....anyone like to sponsor me?

Here is a couple of pics from the weekend.

Datman55 that picture DOES NOT give an idea of how bad it was.....................hydroplane racing has to be experienced in person to get an understanding of how nutty it is.............down the hill brake, ooooo this thing is slitherin round a lot but it seems ok BUT ?????????? , ok caught the car turn in and oooooo catch the car, geeeeently feed the throttle...........BWAAAAAAA ooo huge revs catch the car, shift and tiny tiny throttle BWAAAAAA huge revs catch the car, ok straight away no problem......is that lake or a puddle left right left right left right....hmmm I think it hydroplaned , down into the kink gently feed the steering so it doesn't spin and ACK now it's trying to get straight on!!!!!

Events like this are a contest to see who can keep it on the track longer.............fun aren't they.

That's true Rallytwit, and fun probably isn't the right word either.... Bloody Dangerous would probably be closer.

I was talking to one of the guys at the front of the field post race, he over took another car for 3rd position coming into the last corner and didn't even know the other car was there until he pulled up along side it! A number of cars aquaplaned off into the sand at various points. One of the other guys said he was in 5th gear at top speed when the car aquaplaned coming down the hill into the last corner - scarey stuff!

Good thing is I survived with no damage, so now getting ready for the next round.

Datman55............I should have put the sarcasm light on.............I do well racing in the rain, really well but I can't say I like it or look forward to.............your left with a felling of accomplishment for having survived.......kinda like storming a beach head and then realizing you're still alive.

Hey Dundee.... Definately interested, but I thought the R33 calipers were all alloy?

I have some front calipers lined up, but still need the rears, so give me a call and lets see if we can work something out.
