Ive been workin in melbourne the last couple of days so on the way home ive been doin the tour of wreckers.

What i want to know is :-

1. What is a P411 and will the diff fit a 1200?

2. Will a dogleg option 1 260z box fit a ca20 bellhousing?

3. Is there a difference between Bluebird and Pintara ca20 boxes?

4. Or would a 4age conversion be a better option than a ca18de?

NO It's a 60's antique...

2. Will a dogleg option 1 260z box fit a ca20 bellhousing?

No. I don;t think so..never heard of anyone doing that.

3. Is there a difference between Bluebird and Pintara ca20 boxes?

Interesting question..I don't think so.

4. Or would a 4age conversion be a better option than a ca18de?

NO..4ages only came in FWD, and that would mean taking a mssive chunk out of your firewall to clear the distributer..Just like the AE86 conversions.

Yeah, and even if there were such a thing as a stupid question, nobody here would bother to preface it anyhow.

hey dattodude the 4age came in fwd rwd and mid engine rwd. ive seen the conversion done and the firewall hadnt been touched. the trive tunnel had been 'coxed' into fitting the gearbox and a new set of mounts and crossmembers had to also be made.

4AGe was originally RWD in the AE86 sprinter/levin (perhaps you never got them) then it went FWD and MR. The later 20V etc 4ages had a different distributor mounting (where have we heard that before lol) but the early ones arnt too had to swap into many RWD toyotas (KE corolla, starlet etc) so I cant imagine the 1200 would be much harder, however the CA and SR both have more potential

toyota 4age and 4agze engines are awesome engines to fit under the hood of a datsun 1200, ive seen a few in my time hooked up to toyota celica gearboxes. a 4agze with a turbo whacked on one side and the s/c removed would make a quick beast. ca18s ar too common in aus in 1200s, get a toyota engine.
